We design, manufacture, and distribute high-performance uPVC piping systems that minimize environmental impact while delivering long-lasting structural solutions.
We proudly align our operations with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, driving highest impact through five core pillars:

At Central Industries PLC, our sustainable development strategy is centred on proactively managing and preventing potential adverse impacts on the environment, society, employees, and business partners. Driven by strong governance, we ensure full compliance with all environmental regulations, labour laws, and consumer protection requirements.

Behind every National PVC product is a person. We directly employ 380+ Sri Lankans and support the livelihoods of over 1,000 more across every province in the country. We train them, protect them, pay them fairly, and give them room to grow - because the quality of what we make starts with the quality of how we treat the people who make it.

Through the supply of high-quality domestic PVC, HDPE, PPR piping, we expand clean drinking water access and sanitation across Sri Lanka. Our manufacturing operations maintain 100% compliant and responsible waste disposal, and we run continuous large-scale tree planting initiatives at our manufacturing facility in Elhena.

We create, retain, and distribute sustainable economic value directly to our stakeholders and the national economy - through employee remuneration and welfare, income tax contributions, payments to capital providers, and retained profits that future-proof our operations.

At our Yakkala manufacturing facility in Elhena, Central Industries PLC has installed a rooftop solar power plant covering approximately 80% of the factory building roof. With 710 kW of installed capacity, the system generated 1 million kWh of clean energy during FY 2025/26—helping contain electricity costs despite increased production while contributing sustainable energy to the national grid.
Total investment in solar infrastructure reached Rs. 103 Mn, reducing net GHG emissions by 305.1 tCO₂e in the year. As disclosed in our Annual Report 2025/26, we continue to evaluate further renewable energy expansion to strengthen operational resilience and support our transition to a lower-carbon manufacturing footprint.
Central Industries PLC creates sustainable economic value and distributes it where it matters most - fair remuneration and welfare for our people, timely tax contributions to the Sri Lankan government, returns to our capital providers, and reinvestment to future-proof the business for generations to come.

Through equitable remuneration and comprehensive welfare.

Through timely and transparent tax contributions to the state.

Through consistent returns delivered to our capital providers.

Through continuous reinvestment to future-proof operations for generations to come.
The sum of what we distribute and retain reflects our commitment to creating value that extends beyond our balance sheet - into the lives of our employees, the economy of our nation, and the future of our business.
From the people we employ to the communities we serve—every metric reflects a deep commitment to building a sustainable, responsible business across Sri Lanka.

Our primary manufacturing facility in Elhena incorporates ongoing tree planting and greening initiatives—part of our long-term commitment to reducing our footprint and protecting the local environment.

Through the supply of high-quality uPVC, HDPE, PPR piping systems, we play a direct role in expanding access to clean drinking water and improved sanitation across Sri Lanka. From individual homes to national infrastructure projects.

We continuously invest in the technical and soft-skill development of plumber communities and electrician networks across all nine provinces - building the capabilities that the country's construction and trades industries depend on.
Central Industries PLC proudly initiated the voluntary early adoption of SLFRS S1 and S2 standards. This ensures transparent, decision-useful financial reporting regarding sustainability and climate-related risks and opportunities (SRROs/CRROs), strengthening our Integrated Risk Management System (IRMS).
Sustainability oversight is managed quarterly by the Audit and Risk Management Committees. We maintain an open-door policy and active formal grievance loops - including resolution-rate tracking - for employees, dealers, partners, and local community members.
From industrial piping specifications to residential builds, our team is here to help you source the highest quality plumbing solutions
