Central Industries PLC has been manufacturing quality water management and electrical products for Sri Lanka since 1985—guided by a commitment to certification, consistency, and the country that built us.
In 1984, Central Finance Group established Central Industries PLC with a clear mandate: bring world-class PVC manufacturing to Sri Lanka and set the standard for the local industry.
Three years later, in 1987, we became the first company in Sri Lanka to obtain SLS 147 certification for uPVC pipes - a milestone that defined what quality meant in this industry. We followed that by being the first to earn SLS 659 certification for uPVC fittings, and the first in our category to achieve ISO 900 series quality management certification.
For 40 years, National PVC products have flowed through homes, hospitals, hotels, agricultural estates, and national infrastructure projects across every district of Sri Lanka. We now operate two manufacturing facilities, employ over 380 people, and have built a dealer network of 8000+ partners.
But the most important thing we've built is trust.

Mr. C. S. Hettiarachchi has served on the Board of the Company since 30th June 2018. He was appointed as Chairman on 1st September, 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) Degree from the University of Colombo and an MBA from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (PIM). He is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. He is a past Chairman of the Leasing Association of Sri Lanka (LASL) and served as a Director of Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka (CRIB).

Mr. Mayura Rupatunge, CEO of Central Industries PLC, was appointed to the Board of Directors on August 11, 2020. He joined Central Industries PLC as the General Manager in 2016 and has been with the Company since then. Mr. Rupatunge has extensive manufacturing experience, having worked in the industry for 28 years. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, and holds postgraduate qualifications from the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo. Also, he is a member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA) Australia and is professionally and academically qualified in the fields of Manufacturing and Management, including Finance and Administration.

Mr. Sarath De Costa was the Former Consul General for Sri Lanka in Osaka, Japan. He was appointed to the Board of Colombo Dockyard PLC in 1993. Mr. Don Kapila Welmillage was appointed to the Board on the 30th of November 2024.
